My local supermarket has at least five varieties of canned coconut milk, ranging in price from 89 cents to two dollars. My advice: stay away from "Ocho Rios" brand (89 cents). It contains potassium metabisulfite as a preservative, which may explain why it tastes dreadful! It's imported from Thailand, which is where the best (and most expensive)...
