I feel like an idiot just asking this question, but I've been away from the
group for a while and I don't know the "state department requirement of the
week". Do we need passports to get back into the states from Mexico or not?

Yes, but please get ready so we can avoid that mess in 2007 becaue of
dear Senor Shrub. Get your passport. Everyone should have one and they
are good for 10 years so it takes a little effort for a long time. By
air you will be needing a passport, even to CAN so please get one and
do not delay. Write it down. BTW, I hope your pic comes out better
