Need an "off all maps" destination in Mexico

My wife and I want to escape to Mexico next January for most of a
month. We are looking for a REMOTE location with beach... perhaps an
island. We do NOT want a hotel, pool, swim-up bar, traffic light,
Starbucks or anything like that. An outdoor shower is great, home
cooked meals are great, camping is OK but a bed would be better. We'd
be thrilled to rent a clean room in a family home in a small village
someplace.... throw in a few chickens and goats and we're in heaven.
We want to soak up sun, eat fresh veggies and live plainly in as
natural a setting as possible.... hike, walk on the beach, skinny-dip,
write, read... quiet. Any/all recommendations welcome. Thanks, =dave=

Hello Dave,

You might look at Puerto Escondido, which is on the Pacific Coast a
ways south of Acapulco and over the mountains from Oaxaca. Puerto was
once popular with Hippies, and there are still a few leftover hippies
to be found there today. For more information, contact Gina. She knows
everone and everything about Puerto. Gina Machorro Espinosa
<ginainpuerto@yahoo.com> If you want a beach spot even more primative,
check out Puerto Angel, which is down the coast a bit from Puerto
Escondido. Good luck and let me know if you have questions.

Puerto also draws a lot of surfers and it's a bit bigger and busier
than what the OP seems to be describing. Just about anywhere south of there
would fit his description, particulary when you get down into Chiapas.

There's a place on the coast highway in Michacoan sounds like what you
need, turn off the road at Km marker 200, cabanas, beach, scenery. I
just looked at Google Earth, I think it must have been Muruata.
