Inhibition of HSV cell-to-cell spread by lactoferrin and
lactoferricin.
Jenssen H, Sandvik K, Andersen JH, Hancock RE, Gutteberg TJ Antiviral
Res 2008 Apr 21.

The milk protein lactoferrin (Lf) has multiple functions, including
immune stimulation and antiviral activity towards herpes simplex virus
1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2); antiviral activity has also been reported
for the N-terminal pepsin-derived fragment lactoferricin (Lfcin). The
anti-HSV mode of action of Lf and Lfcin is assumed to involve, in
part, their interaction with the cell surface glycosaminoglycan
heparan sulfate, thereby blocking of viral entry. In this study we
investigated the ability of human and bovine Lf and Lfcin to inhibit
viral cell-to-cell spread as well as the involvement of cell surface
glycosaminoglycans during viral cell-to-cell spread. Lf and Lfcin from
both human and bovine origin, inhibited cell-to-cell spread of both
HSV-1 and HSV-2. Inhibition of cell-to-cell spread by bovine Lfcin
involved cell surface chondroitin sulfate. Based on transmission
electron microscopy studies, human Lfcin, like bovine Lfcin, was
randomly distributed intracellularly, thus differences in their
antiviral activity could not be explained by differences in their
distribution. In contrast, the cellular localization of iron-saturated
(holo)-Lf appeared to differ from that of apo-Lf, indicating that
holo- and apo-Lf may exhibit different antiviral mechanisms.

Re: Herpes

I suggest Lysine for Herpes, taken a half hour before or
three hours after a meal for most effectiveness, and a killfile
for the Fe+male. (Or Doe, or Ironjustice, or whatever
Mr Hennessey is called in your groups. He calls himself a
"Health Research Analyst")
The Lysine suggestion applies to both oral and genital Herpes.
The killfile suggestion applies to all pests in general.

Why is it that up-to-date medical science hasn't got a single clue on
how to eliminate any sort of viruses be it, airborne or close-
contact..???

From the holistic point of view in dealing with viruses......let me
provides you a simple remedy in dealing (containing) the spread of
your herpes........When your herpes sore pop-up....just rub on those
sore with 'freshly burnt ashes'......of cos, you will be having a 'ant-
biting' sensation feeling on that applied areas........a few
applications per day will definitely dry up the sore and also
contained the spreading.
BTW, this sort of treatment application is not a total cure..... . it s
just help to contain the spread......for cure..of cos, there are other
herbal remedy that need apply...

You are invited to browse thru my newly created website
(w w w .asianholistic4viruse . com ) in dealing with all sort of
viruses....for you to gather more knowledge in future dealing with the
recent unpredictable weather that may caused new strain of airborne
virus to surface...........ie. airborne viruses such as chikungunya,
bird flu and probably, some unnamed and deadly airborne viruses may
pop-up in the near future.....

Re: Herpes

Folks, you just don't realize how fortunate you are to be watching
as veteran spammer Danny Yang and Ironjustice (John Hennessey)
are chatting. This should be good.
