Full Time Nursing Instructor Positions with Guilford Technical Community College
JOB SUMMARY
This full-time position participates in the planning, implementation,
evaluation, and revision of the program curriculum. The faculty
member also participates in activities that support institutional
goals. The full-time faculty workload averages 18-21 contact hours
per week per semester. In addition, five office hours per week are
documented. A total of 30 hours per week of GTCC related activities
is required. Work hours may include day, evening, and weekend
responsibilities. Travel may be involved.
REQUIREMENTS
*Hold a baccalaureate in nursing or master’s degree in nursing from an
accredited institution. (master’s degree preferred). Transcripts must
meet standards of one of the regional accrediting bodies as recognized
by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA), i.e., Southern Association
of Colleges & Schools, etc., as applicable.
*Have two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical
experience as a registered nurse (Clinical experience should be
appropriate to the teaching assignment).
*Prior to or within the first three years of employment, have
preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education
including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation,
appropriate to assignment.
*Hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse
in North Carolina.
