Taking Pills with Prune Juice

Hi everyone,

I do not believe it is a good idea to take pills with prune juice or while
eating prunes, due to the laxative effect of the prune juice or prunes, and
the possibility that the pills may continue on into the duodenum and then
the rest of the small intestine too rapidly (so to speak) and not be
properly absorbed into the bloodstream by the duodenum (I believe approx.
80% of most absorption takes place in the duodenum).

Is my assumption logical and do you agree or disagree. Prune juice and/or
prunes in my morning meal accompanied with a hot beverage definitely helps
me to have a bowel movement afterward. But I take pills (both prescription
and supplements) with my morning meal, and I am afraid there is a risk of
them flushing on down before proper absorption, so I avoid taking the pills
with prune juice, but I would like to do that.

I would appreciate any comments you may have. Thanks...Pete
