The Pharmacy Alliance to meet in Galveston April 19-20

The Pharmacy Alliance (TPA) is a new kind of pharmacy organization,
founded in the fall of 2006. It is a fellowship of pharmacists,
pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students from throughout the world,
,dedicated to fostering conditions that promote the dignity,
self-respect, and integrity of the individual pharmacy practitioner. We
are not interested in passing resolutions; we are just plain resolute.
We want action! We will act to relieve the real pain that you as a
pharmacy professional face every day: in working conditions, personal
schedules, management relations, professional reimbursements, it is high
time for change, because pharmacy is on a collision course with reality.
For decades, we TPA members were like you in that we kept saying,
"There has to be a group of pharmacy professionals that truly represents
US!" Well, we had it. We decided to create that dream group ourselves.

TPA will be holding its first international meeting in the ballroom at
Holiday Inn On The Beach, San Luis Resort Complex, Galveston, Texas, US,
on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, 2008. Members will gather to
"fill the bowl" with the guiding principles of the group, and launch a
publicity campaign. Our own Web site is currently under development, and
will be launched soon.

TPA dues are USD 110.00 for pharmacists, USD 35.00 for pharmacy
technicians, and USD 30.00 for pharmacy students. Please send your
check or money order, payable to The Pharmacy Alliance (U.S. dollars
only, please), to:

Myron Bryant, R.Ph., Treasurer
The Pharmacy Alliance
1005 Cages Bend Court
Gallatin TN 37066 US

TPA represents the dawn of a new and very exciting era for pharmacy. We
hope you will decide to be part of it. Come join us, as a member, and
also at the Galveston meeting, and take back your profession for real.

Sincerely,

Paul Trusten, R.Ph.
Acting Secretary
