the facts

the facts

the facts for mind/brain monoism are none

there is only associative evidence between the mind and brain

there is no causal evidence whatsoever

it is just as valid of a theory that the mind causes chemical changes in
the brain, as the theory that chemical changes in the brain cause the mind

there is no causal evidence whatsoever

Re: the facts

People with no brains have no minds either.

Nice in bed and as statues for the hall but need cleaning, feeeding and so
forth, de-licing in important too.

there is still no evidence that the brain causes the mind, all there is,
is, associative evidence, we have more evidence that it is the mind that
makes the decisions, NOT the body

Re: the facts

The mind is like the weather. the weather is composed of wind,
temperature ... . "Mind" is the same sort of concept. The weather is
not a thing, it is an experience of things. "Mind" is not a thing, it
is our experience of a person's behavior. We talk about minds the same
way we talk about the weather. These are simply conceptual
conveniences. "Mind" does not exist. If you don't believe me, just go
and look at what happens to some people after brain damage. Completely
different "mind", even in the absence of any cognitive deficits.

mind is not experience, the mind exists

the sensors and senses change and experience of such changes, but the mind
itself does not change

wrong, it just removes the sensors and senses from the body, not the mind

Who said anything about frontal lobotomy? Hell, a person can receive a
good knock on the head and be unconscious for only a few minutes, with
no discernable injury, and become a different person.

his perceptions change and it takes time to get used to different
perceptions, that is all that happens

I think it is clear that there is an equilibrium between thought
production and ability to turn on certain genes and influence neuro
hormones, and vice versa.

there is only associative neuroscience, no proof of cause and effect
