That claim is well demonstrated by the evidence.

Atheists don't believe in God, but many people who believe in God, don't
believe in pixies, fairies, etc...

Mutations aren't "nothingness", they are changes to the DNA molecule.
There are many things that are known to cause mutations.

No, random mutation is not magic, it's just chemical changes in a
molecule. These changes are easily observed.
