ash-c Thanks

Hi all
I was diagnosed with HCV-G3a way back in 1996.
Went to my Dr with a tooth ache and walked out with HepC. Impressed I wasn?t.
Had Intron-A monotherapy in 1997 and not surprisingly it didn?t work.
Spent the next 8 years or so trying to forget I had HepC.
Around May 2006 a few things happened that made me start to think about HepC
again.
Anyway in November I retreated with Pegasys and somewhat annoyingly didn?t
respond to that either. Haven?t even had the joy of relapse yet.

During much time on the internet I came across ash-c in mid 2006 and spent
ages just lurking there.
You have no idea how much I got out of that place, which brings me to why I
am posting.
I came across this site via a link posted on another forum. Much to my
surprise when I started to read some of the posts I recognise many of the
names. I just had to drop by and thank youse all, especially Greyhackles and
Waterspider, Elmo too but haven?t seen him post here.

I not sure if you realise how much info newbs get out of those of us that
have been thru Tx or Tx-ed multiple times. Once again everyone from ash-c
thank you all for the knowledge you shared with me without knowing it.
You helped me start down a path I cant get off, the more I learn about this
disease the more I want to know.

Thanx
CS

Wow, thank you CS, for taking the time to thank us. That means a lot.

I am sorry to hear that your tx failed. That sucks, big time. I wish I could
offer words of optimism and comfort, but I can't. The only positive thing I
can think of is the shitkicking the dragon got while you were on the Evil
Drugs, and the fact that your liver got a nice long rest from it, possibly
healing itself somewhat but certainly not sustaining any further damage.

Just a suggestion, but there are still lots of newbies lurking at ash-c, and
people who have not had success with treatment. It would be good for them to
share what you're learning.

I'll crosspost this so ash c members read it too.
