I have BPH, and the size of my prostate is 32ccm. Is it a very great one, or
not so much ?

That I think is about normal, depending on age. Isn't grams and ccm
measurement about the same here? 50 and above is getting large and some
have 100.

Puny. Very small. You have a long way to go.

Mine was 150 g (same as cc) until I went on Proscar. Now it is around
100 g.

But small prostates can still cause a lot of problems.

But I still have problems. Go to the bathroom 2-3 times in the night, I feel
my bladder irritated, sometimes difficult to pee. My urologist suggests a
TURP despite the 32ccm. Maybe the prostate is badly positioned.

I have BPH, and the size of my prostate is 32ccm. Is it a very great
one, or not so much ?

=====> i question just how well the machines can measure the prostate
when it is inside the body.

in my case, they measured mine with a TRUS unit and it measured at 39
cc.

i had the usual symptoms about getting up in the night. but they also
put me on the table and checked to see just how much urine i was
retaining after going to the bathroom. it measure at about 30 cc.

they said that the prostate had grown enough that it was pushing into
the floor of the bladder causing a pool to form, which is why i was
holding back urine.

then, i got the news that i had prostate cancer shortly after all of
this took place.

when they ripped out the prostate and slapped it on the path table and
weighed it. it weighed in a 55 grams, which is a big difference from
the 39 grams just a few months before.

hope this information helps.
