I've tried tobacco in a vaporizer a couple of times and it doesn't
work very well... the tobacco vapor really stinks somehow and is very
harsh on the lungs. Perhaps it's because nicotine, unlike cannabinoids
like THC, is not really a kind of 'ethereal oil'.

Vpourisers may not work with tobbaco due to the temp at which vapours are
created. I think that the vapour temp of cannabis and tobbaco are
different...

Re: Nature: Study shows vaporizer delivers marijuana 'safely and effectively'

Hi all, this is my first post. I have found the discussions/links most
interesting and enlightening. On the subject of tobacco and vaporizers, the
boiling point of nicotine is 247 C (476F), much higher than THC . There has
been some research into making a nicotine vaporizer to ease the negative
effects of (other) toxins on the system. This is probably the reason that a
vaporizer is having trouble, nicotine actually burns at 95C , well below the
boiling point , and as such when smoking a cig most of the nicotine is
burned but enough gets through for the desired effect.Cigs are one thing
that I wish I had never started! As a side note , probably the best way to
stop cigs is with NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) gum lozenges patch an
so on. I was recently forced to stop my consumption of the holy sacrament ,
much to my dismay by the terrible police state that exist here in the land
of the free (sigh) ..... Very strange lucid evil weird dreams, I think
mostly related to being kept in a state of fear. Trying to keep on topic...
I was surprised to hear about the tendency to mix tobacco into a joint, this
sounds very strange and unappealing to me. I also consider myself
"hopelessly addicted" to nicotine, but the desire to quit is a rising
necessity as I need to save all my money to pay legal bills , court cost and
fines. Most americans are just trying to look out for themselves, stay quiet
and lead productive lives. This is a scary time, the corruption goes all the
way up to the top.
Thanks all
Dan
