Fosamax heartburn: when and what does it feel like?

What I want to know is: people that have had Fosamax-related heartburn,
exactly what did it feel like and under what circumstances did it occur?
Am I right in thinking that if you take it weekly, you'd notice it soon
after taking it... and mostly on the day you take it?

I'm asking this question because I take Fosamax and I have _occasional_
heartburn. I don't think they're related, but I want to be sure.

I take 70 mg of Fosamax once a week. I have no problems taking it. I
don't feel anything after taking it. No heartburn, nothing.

However, on occasions when I exercise strenuously for twenty minutes or
more, e.g. hiking uphill, I feel a burning sensation that feels as if it
is just above the top of the sternum, and centered. (It does not match
the usual descriptions of angina; my doctor takes exercise-related chest
pain seriously and I've had, in the past six years, a stress test, a
stress-echo, and a nuclear stress test, none showing any heart problems).

I take my weekly Fosamax with a cup of water and never had any problems
with it.
So maybe you are not drinking enough water.
I have Gerds, acid reflux too.

Just remember the standard PPI med treatment of GERD/ acid reflux
is really bad for the bone strength.

How is your voice? Are you more hoarse than when you were younger?
Do awaken in the night unable to breath for a brief period rather like
as asthma attack? Ever feel you meal flowing into your esophagus
when bending over or when upside down? Whether you feel it
or not, if you are refluxing you are likely doing during your sleep
period especially in the first 4 or 5 hours of sleep. If you said
yes to any of the aformentioned questions, they are symptoms
of night time reflux.

GERD/acid reflux tends to come with advancing years or weight gain
though
I'll seen slim people with the problem also.
