Re: Fall and injury group for the elderly?Hi: The NOF has a community board that covers this topic. I couldn't find any
groups that are specifically for this topic, but they do discuss this a lot at
the National Osteoporosis Foundation. This group has health care professionals
that frequent it by posting, so if you want to join you could post under there
"Guidelines to safe movement and fall prevention" thread, or start your own
thread. This topic comes up quite a bit, but it's within the osteoporosis
board. The medical professionals that post are well known and very helpful.
Also, if you know anyone with this situation you can *invite* them to join as
well, including Drs, Phys Therapists, friends etc, then there will be more
posting on this topic, even though there are quite a few talking about this
anyway. It's also an excellent group with nice features, and you can post links
as well, which some groups don't allow... You also get your own home page where
you can communicate privately with members if you choose to, but through a
secure message page.
Here's the link if you're interested
