Help me unscramble this bone density report ...

My HMO makes all my test results available online, but the formatting
doesn't always survive the transfer.

I think the report was originally in the form of a table, but the online
version is one long line of text. The part I'm interested in says:

Spine LtHip LtForearm (total)(neck)(1/3)BMD(gm/cm2) 0.xxx 0.xxx 0.xxx T
Score n.n n.n n.n Z Score m.m m.m m.m

I think it's supposed to be in three columns of numbers, with three rows
of data.

I think the first column is "Spine (total)", the second "LtHip (neck)"
and the third "LtForearm (1/3)".

The first row is "BMD(gm/cm2)", the second row "T Score" and the third
row "Z score".

Is that right?

Probably.

Take a look at the pages referred to at
* courses.washington.edu/bonephys/opDEXA1.html
for more information.

* courses.washington.edu/bonephys/opbmd.html#tz
explains t and z scores.

You might also want to complain to the HMO that their online reports are
incomprehensible. It's also possible that this is a "new problem" that came
up because they tweaked some other section. Anyway, they need to know & to
know that you care.
