AC tear - shoulder separation questions

I recently fell, and was taken to the emergency room, they originally
thought it was a shoulder dislocation. Turns out it was a separation because
of the AC ligament tear. Apparently they consider it in the bottom one or
two of severity because they did not recommend surgery and told me to call
orthopedics in two weeks to schedule therapy. My question is - I have the
deformity of the bump in my shoulder from the clavicle sticking up from the
separation, looks pretty nasty. If therapy is recommended, does ligament
damage repair in time and make the shoulder deformity level again? If not, I
am assuming that a surgical ligament replacement would re-attach the
separation so that the deformity is non -existent. Is this correct? Any and
all info is greatly appreciated.

DEAR G.Silber
if y had problem wit apperance y can submit for surgery to repair the
ligaments but if its not so ugly its better to leave it as most of
these injuries will not affect activity
