It is very important to follow these rules. For example, you will be
told not to bend the hips to more than 90º (e.g. squatting, or sitting
in a low chair) and never to cross your legs, because these positions
could dislocate your new hip.

- They also have a lot of other leaflets and information on how to
look after your new hip and what you can expect to do when.

Not so much. He's making it a lifetime lifting restriction, not just for the
recovery period.
