Hospital Universitario Son Dureta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, has gone
live with an electronic health record and clinical applications portal
that will provide clinicians with faster and more convenient access to
patient data across the 900 bed facility. The system is based on the
Oracle=C2=AE Healthcare Transaction Base.

Three general practitioners, five pharmacies, and 1,000 patients will
be included in the pilot project for a national electronic health card
in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF)
assigned the implementation of the pilot project to the international
eHealth specialist ICW and Cisco, the world's leading provider of
routing and network security solutions.
