birthday girl

My cousin is turning eigteen,and lives out of province. Is money a
good gift or should I buy her something else.? I don't see her much,
so I don't know her taste. Maybe jewellery, any suggestions welcome.

I normally buy gift vouchers for people I'm not sure about. All you have to
do is find one of their broad interests (music, fashion, jewellry etc) and
buy a gift voucher for that. I normally enclose the gift voucher with a nice
handwritten card and a fancy chocolate.

Whatever you do, don't try and buy something you think they will like,
teenagers are so fickle!

OTOH, you can ask her directly exactly what she would like as a gift?
