AVLV JULY ROLL CALL AND CALENDAR TIP!

Foxie Emerson barking in from Atlanta GA.The tip for July from the
Auto Service Depot Calender is on your car's AC. Keep the ac set on
ciculation instead of the fresh air mode. This helps the AC run more
efficiently. Before you leave the car shut the AC off but leave the
fan runing for about 30 seconds. This help keeps moisture from
colecting. The August tip will be on tires. Is it AUGUUUUST yet?

And Foxie, if you want better gas mileage make sure your tires are
properly inflated. I myself tend to over-inflate...

When the TMG LLC mileage enhancer soon becomes avilable, it won't
matter. You will still be getting 70 mpg even with you tires half
full. or half flat, depending on your outlook LOL! Help is on the way!

I'm waiting in great anticipation for the tire tips. Maybe you can
explain the feathering I'm getting on the inside of one of my rear
tires. I can't drive to Vegas with such tire conditions.

Uneven wear on one side of a tire would probably indicate needing an
allignment, front and rear - yes even the rear needs it sometimes.

Unfortunately the rear of my Saab can't be aligned (according to the
tire guy). I took it in last week to have it looked at. My research on
the internet says the feathering could either be either unbalanced
tires or worn shocks. I'm going to replace the shocks and the tires
and see if that solves the problem.

Cookie, my Toyota has over 196 thousand miles on it and has never
needed an alignment.

Burt,

I'm glad you approve. I'd have written anothe one that would have been
an equal or lesser classic but I didn't have a 2 for 1 coupon.
