I was at a game on another 4th of July when the Braves were playing
the Mets and Atlanta Fulton County stadium was sold out including
standing room behind the outfield fence. The Mets got a big lead but
Darel Cheeney hit a bases loaded triple late in the game to give the
Braves the lead. The Braves held on to win and there were fireworks
after the game. Ronald Emerson.

That was the game Brave relief pitcher Rick Camp tied the game with a
homerun in the 18th inning.

Sorry, Ron, but the Braves lost that game to the Mets, 16-13:

Sorry again, Ron; I just re-read your post & realized you were talking about
a different game.

Oddly enough, Rick Camp's homerun was included on the video "50 Greatest
Homeruns of All-Time". That video came out about 15 years ago; not sure it
Camp's HR would still make the cut, but it might; that game is legendary.
