Since the initial announcement they were scrapping the Hooter's theme
and planning to remake the building into a generic upscale/boutique
hotel I haven't heard anything about Hooters? Has their been any news?
Have they started any renovations?

Maybe they could name it, Paradise or 20th Century or Treasury or
Pacifica or Polynesian since that's what it's names were before the
San Remo.

The prospective buyers missed a mandatory payment, so the deal was
terminated. They did indicate the desire to work out a new deal, but
nothing has appeared publicly yet. That was on June 10th.

I observed it from MGM today and it looked like crap to me. Like it had
been 10 years since they remodeled it, instead of a couple. There were
giant banners offering this and that cheap. Then two passengers in a in a
taxi mooned me.
