Local Gastroenterologistt article

For those of you with the time to do some reading, a Sunday article
about a local gastroenterologist might be interesting.
http :// www .lvrj,com /news/23786294.html

From another article I read, I recall that he was trying to ship his
Mercedes out of the country, but got stopped when a person at the auto
dealership reported it to authorities.

Again I will say it, I hope the authorities have made him surrender
his passport to keep him from fleeing the country. He already
indicated his plan when he tried to ship the car.
Although the article describes the city as it was in the 1960's you
can be sure that there are parts of India where the standard of living
for the higher caste is as good as the US.
A country within a country so to speak.

I read a similar story about a Vet from San Antonio

I work with one of the eight who contracted Hep C from this clinic ---
and the absolutely remarkable thing is that she's having trouble getting
care for the problem in the LV market. First is her insurance is
reluctant to participate due to costs --- the other is the local
"doctors" are fearful of getting dragged into litigation. She's having
to drive to Mesquite for treatments for the problem.

The article spoke of the fear physicians had of the Dr., since he could
harm a practice either by his position on the Medical Board or through
his network of referrals. Do you think the physicans requested to treat
your coworker are concerned about reprisals or is it just not wanting to
get drawn into a hassle? The Medical Board is still filled and staffed
with cronies of the guy and have refused the governor's request to step
down. Apparently, it's a "good thing" to be on the board.
