For those with a Delta Skymiles account, they are offering a whopping
9,999 bonus miles on ANY rental from Budget or Avis through August 1.
As best I can tell, all you need to do is reserve on the Delta
website. (However, when I rented from Budget, I had to give them my
frequent flier number again at check-in.)
Apparently there's nothing to prevent you from even renting from
Budget one day, then taking the car back and exchanging it for Avis,
etc. The only limit is max of three bonuses (total 29,997 miles) per
person.
