I never understood how to best wager on a game like that. Pitchers who
pitch 1-2 innings, teams that are really collections of "all-
stars"....the only true pattern is that the AL has been winning the
umpteenth one in a row. I'm sure there must be a better way to
handicap those types of games, but if there are...then I'm not aware
of it.

pitch 1-2 innings, teams that are really collections of "all-
stars"....the only true pattern is that the AL has been winning the

Dang if I know. I'm just glad I skipped putting $100 to show on Big
Brown.

Talking to neighbor while heading out this morning and he asked " What was
the final score in the game last night ?. I fell asleep when it was 2-2. "
I told him he "missed the whole game - that's when it STARTED". He thought
I was joking when I said 15 innings. It was quite a game - but the
"everyone's in for a few plays" doesn't work in a long game like that one,
since the folks playing at 1 AM have no bench for relief.
