Allegiant AIr specials

Allegiant Air is having a Vegas package special. Book through July 30 for
travel before mid-December. I was looking at it and found many instances
where a 4 night package with hotel (Vegas Club, etc) was cheaper than two
r/t airfares.

Even if you don't want to stay at low-end properties, it might be worth
booking a package and throwing out the hotel just to get the reduced price
on the air. If you live near an airport service by Allegiant, check it out.

They came to BR and promoted flights to Vegas. Never left the ground.
They pulled out faster than Frontier. Much faster.

From what I understand, they have been in Shreveport for quite a while, but
they only fly to Vegas and Sanford, FL (very near Orlando). I've used
Allegiant twice... had one mechanical delay, the other flights were on time.
I hope they hang around in SHV. I hate driving to Dallas or Houston to get
decent flights.

We've used them a few times now and for the price they can't be beat!

However, from what I've been told, if they cancel your flight, you are
totally SOL, all they will do is refund your $$$, at their
convenience, that is, meaning weeks later. Other airlines, even
Southwest, will do their best to get you there, even putting you on a
competitor's plane if they have to!

The old PeopleExpress developed an engine problem on a 747 going from EWR
to OAK. The pilot landed at DEN. PeopleExpress simply said "bye bye" and
left the passengers to fend for themselves to get to OAK. The aircraft's
engine was repaired and then it was ferried from DEN back to EWR for its
next scheduled trip. PeopleExpress went out of business a few months
later.

They stopped flying out of Lansing Michigan to Vegas last year. We used them
a couple times but they they started messing with flight times that were not
idea. I think that is what took them out of the market around here. I
believe they still fly FL. They were fun flights since they were basically
ran like a charter flight with just about everyone going to gamble. We miss
them.

My wife and I flew Allegiant on July 2nd to Vegas out of Bellingham,
WA. MD-83 was full....left on time...flight home was maybe 5 minutes
late. I live about 10 minutes north of the Canada?USA border and
Bellingham airport is about 20 minutes south of the border.

We'll use them again....good flight times also.

I've been flying them out of Bismarck since they came here 4 years ago. You
can't beat the price, usually about 1/2 to 1/3 what the other airlines (NW,
United) charge & no layovers.
