I live in Cuba...

I live in Cuba...

...but am Canadian. Needless to say I have encountered quite a few
puros (cigars) there and have learned a bit along the way. I travel
back and forth many times a year. Each time I'm able to bring back 50
cigars. They are a lot less expensive there than in Canada. Sometimes
less than half the price... I can't even smoke all of them there are
so many. It's good that I like to share them with friends. I like
Cohiba, RyJ, Montecristo, Bolivar, Hoyo de Monterrey or any marca
really... What's your favourite?

Hi!

I'm your friendly local Canadian Border Services Officer, just lurking here
to record your address and server.

;>)

Just kidding...
I don't usually feed trolls but yours was too good to resist.

So... "11" are you claiming that you can buy "real" Cuban cigars in Cuba,
bring them into Canada "Duty-Free" then "share" them with fellow cigar
smokers?
I'm guessing there will be a "slight cost" to your "friends" for this
"service"?

Not considering breaking the law, are we?

Commander Bob
My favorites are those great Cohibas in the glass-top boxes that you get at
a "best price" from your amigo who works in the Partagas Factory.

Friendly...

;-)

Here is the news...

Cost of box of 25 Cohiba Esplendidos in a downtown Toronto cigar
store:

$1400 plus taxes $1582 or so... They're real and imported by Havana
House, the wing of Habanos SA in Canada and wholesaled. So you're
paying the gov't sin tax plus the brick and mortar store markup etc.

Box of Cohiba Esplendidos from Government store in Cuba CUC$448.25 -
about CAD$500 - fine. They're "real" as well and also kept properly
humidified. They're less than one/third the after tax Canadian price.

If you're in love with the way the Gov. of Canada spends your taxes
and your local Cigar store owner good for you... one more gold star
from Jesus...

You're 100% correct when you say someone offering you a box for $200
without serialized holographic stickers probably got them from a
friend at the factory or some dude on the beach... and you're right to
be skeptical. (By the way, however, those are no less "real" they're
either just stolen or Bauza -google it- and worst of all improperly
stored and overly handled.

So, ultimately, the question is not whether I'm considering breaking
the law but whether you believe in it enough to pay double.

Until then... callate come mierda,

...and Jenn...

those Cohibas would cost USD$537 because the Cubans only take US at a
20% discount now... God they should make it 30% because who wants the
crappy greenback... they're printing it so fast soonthe world reserve
will be the Euro... Rome is burning!!!

You know, "11", if you look back to the beginning of this thread,
you'll discover that you were the first to act like an ass.

It was one of you fellow Canadians who implied you might be running
one of the most common scams we've seen here.

Then you turned around, and almost like someone who was trying to pull
a scam, got all indignant and defensive. You started cursing people
in Spanish, like no one else will understand. Ooooh, I only WISH I
could be as cool as you, "11".

It does figure though that someone who would post using their age as a
handle would make references to "schoolyard bullies".
