My nephew Eric just called me from Camp LeJuene, he's home from his
fourth tour in Iraq :-)
Thanks to all who supported him on his latest visit to the sandbox.

Ken in Miami

Glad to hear it, Ken! I'll fire up a good one tonight in his honor.

In that case, Ken, this Davidoff Millenium Short Robusto is for him.
God's Blessings upon him.

I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian.

Good news!

Will this be the last time, or will they send him right back
in?

Thanks everyone.
He's been offered an instructors position but is considering
Afghanistan. When I asked him why all he said is "I've never been
there". Oy!
I admire the guy but how many times can you let it ride.

Perhaps he feels he's doing some good, over there. Remember, those guys
get a different brainwashing than you & I do... ;)

I have no doubt he feels he's fighting the good fight. If he felt
otherwise I'm sure he wouldn't have re-enlisted twice while in country.

I did suggest that he could help a lot more Marines by taking the
instructors job and he agreed but the thought of sitting stateside in a
nice cushy job apparently is not what he's looking for in a military career.
He sure has grown a lot from the little toe head who wanted to be a race
car driver.

That's rather hypocritical coming from an admitted criminal whose
money helps a communist country that supports terrorism!

interestingly motivated. first-hand experience of the situation is commonly
different than what we state-side civvies get in our news. it was that way in
non-combat, post-nam korea (when i was there). it's bound to be similar these days.

and stop loss is still scary stuff.

Had three good ones last night...one for each of his previous tours.

Tonight an ISOM Bolivar (Thanks, Mickey) goes up for his final.
