Esperanza Para Los Ninos Cigars

Reply from: Scott Stevens

I believe it was at CCCCC part deux that Esperanza Para Los Ninos were
sold to raise funds for Honduran children to attend school. (I was at
CCCCC and CCCCC part deux, so it could have been either) I purchased
two boxes then, which have long since been sacrificed to the the fire
gods.

Can anyone tell me the nearest thing to them that exists now? I
really enjoyed them.

I keep hoping Christian will re-release them. That's a fine cigar.
Still holding onto about half a box of robustos.

I asked on the Camacho website about them last week, but have not
received a response yet.

Maybe it's just me, but, I always thought that they tasted like grass
clippings. Well, I have one sitting here in the cooler, I'll fire it up at
WPCC next moth and see how it goes.

So, how do we call Christian? I'm up for it.

Something in the Camacho line, probably.

Perhaps the Camacho 1962 or Camacho Select?

Gee...I've never had one of those. (While I have not posted in a very
long time, I am a veteran of the time honored phrase that I'm sure
originated with ASC)

The Selects are very nice, though not in the "kick you in the balls,"
full-bodied way a lot of the Camachos are.

Quite so.

The Camacho Coyolar had me out in the back yard, at 3:00AM, watering the
grass with a garden hose (we DO have automatic sprinklers) in my underwear.

I found out my wife has no sense of humor.

That just couldn't have been good for anyone involved.

Actually, this thread has me a little inspired (not to go water the
lawn in my underwear at 3AM). I'm heading up to the mountains for a
little fly fshing, cycling, and relaxing this weekend. I'm loading up a
Camacho Select and an old Esperanza Craing and Jenn Vanderslice gave
me. Will report back, though it will be tough to compare a Cameroon and
a Maduro.

I don't have to fish for flies...they find me when I go fishing. :~(
