Marriage is the formal act of personal union between individuals, in
accordance with marriage laws of the land. Says Wikipedia ;-)
What kind of smokes would you people suggest for the occasion?
(My brother ist getting married next month :-)

Best, Will

As he's "been there, done that" I hope this time the aged ones will be
reserved for anniversaries. Yeah, well, you never know - but why care for
cause and quality of the event if the smoke is enjoyable enough ;-)

A) Something you like that you don't mind seeing other people pitch
after a couple of hits.

B) A few great smokes for you and the actual cigar smokers in the room
and a fist full of smokable cheapies to hand out to the moochers.

Perfect answer. Seen way too many 'good' smokes wasted at such events.
Scumbags (BILs) just don't appreciate a good smoke.

I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian.

Fuente Double Chateau or Royal Salute

They look like a celebration cigar with the cedar wrapping

They are pretty easy on guys that aren't regular smokers

They are decent for guys that are regular smokers

I go with choice A. At things like wedding receptions, most folks are
not going to be sitting around for the amount of time required to
smoke a cigar. Also, most of the people who want one are going to
light up, take a few puffs while they pose for pictures showing them
smoking and drinking in celebration and then drop the cigar in the
ashtray so sacrificing a $200 box of cigars is crazy. If you've got a
box of primo smokes you just want to get rid of, I'll happily provide
you with my snailer.

Buy a bundle of some Old Fashioneds or Uncle Mikey's, take off the
bands and replace them with bands from the good stuff. 99% of the
people will never know the difference, you still get to play big shot
handing out cigars, and then you get to enjoy the box of super
premiums at your leisure. Or send 'em to me.

For a special twist, why not spring for some custom cigar
bands? They aren't that expensive, and they have the
advantage of turning even a seconds bundle into a genuinely
exclusive smoke.

Also, if the best man, the boss and the future father-in-law
are cigar smokers, it may be a good idea to invest in a
couple of real super-premium smokes for each. That's the
sort of memorable generosity which can create massive
goodwill against future calamity ....

I've found that Carlos Toraño makes several lines that are cheap enough
to give away to strangers, good enough to not be an embarrassment for
doing so, mild enough to be ok for people "just smoking for the
occasion" and tasty enough for the few regular smokers who will attend.

About 60 Bucks for 25 over here, very resonable :-)
Never had one of those- maybe I should get some cigarettes for the wedding
party and buy a box of Toraños for myself ;-)

Thanks, Will

Something that can be tasty but is fairly and inexpensive. I gave away over
700 cigars this year at our BBQ cook-off booth and used Vegas de Santiago. I
can tell by the number of partially smoked cigars tossed to the ground, how
acceptable they are and only found three this year.

Romeo y' Julietta's would be profoundly poetic.

True :-) I guess I will combine the thought with an earlier advice and hand
out "R y' J's" to everybody - but the real thing only to the ones who know
about cigars and something less costy with the band to the unworthy ;-)

Thanks for the idea :-)
