NFL Draft Party in Miami

Reply from: Ken Dixon

Got this in my e-mail from the cigar shop down the street...

Don’t stay at home for this Saturday’s NFL Draft –

Come smoke a cigar, have a drink, and enjoy the show at:

Genuine Tobacconist

14236 SW 8th Street

Miami, FL 33184

305.226.9994

Draft begins at 3 pm sharp!

I'll probably drop by for a cigar and a drink.

Ken in Miami
BTW the shop is owned by the Reyes family and is very nice

You might want one of these for a herf in the air :-)

With a 5 ton load before OW take offs, we could get almost 15 old timers in
there :-)

Great idea but might I suggest a L-100. Cavernous cargo area, a very
comfortable ride and if the smoke gets too thick just lower the ramp.
It's a wonderful place to sit and dangle your feet during low level
flights.

The differences are that Marc can afford the Basler; it can do STOL for his
emergency landings; it uses less gas; only needs a turbo twin ticket; with the
big cargo doors we can forklift off the casualties; unpressurized so no
mistakes with which door is the head; can be fitted for jumping for those
who's wife insists they get home NOW :-)

License for a twin engine turboprop as opposed to the present BaronAir twin
gas engine. When you upgrade engines, you have to be checked out on turbine
operation, it is very different from pulling the chord on the lawnmower.

Umm...no.

The license is Private, Commercial, or ATP.

The ratings are Instrument, MultiEngine, Multiengine - Centerline thrust,
Rotorwing, etc.

No...the only time you need a TYPE RATING is if the TURBOPROP is over 12,500
lbs MTOW, or if the engines are straight turbine.

Your INSURANCE company may require a 20-25 (or more) CHECKOUT even if a type
rating is not required by FARs.
