Opinions on AF 8-5-8

Natural.

On a recent trip down south i was able to buy a couple of boxes at a
good price, for about $100
this cigar is one of my favorites. but being only a summer cigar
smoker, hence a n00b, i'd like to hear from you 'seasoned' smokers.

On a rate of 1 to 10, what do you rate the 8-5-8 at?
Also, on non-ISOM cigars, how does this cigar rate? top 25, top 50?

Me, i like it a lot because i find it mild but very flavourful. its on
a my top 5 cigars, along with some Toranos, Olivas, etc.

comments?

Haven't smoked an AF858 in years but they were a favorite for a long
time. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to try one and see if they are
as I remember them.

Can't be too many "Toranos, Olivas, etc." in your "top 5" list <g>

I last smoiked those probably 8 years ago and bought 'em by the box.
Stopped smoking 'em maybe a year later when they started tasting
"grassy" to me compared to others I'd started smoking.

They're a good cigar, IMO. But it doesn't matter what the rest of us
think. If you like them, smoke them.

Quite!

I find the Fuente lines good in any case, though everything stumbled during
the boom years in the 90's.

I recently picked up a box of 8-5-8's at JR's for $88, about the same money
I bought them for a few years back.

too much? $98 ? i thought it was fairly low for a retail store. never
seen the box of 25 sell for less than $90. any etailer suggestions?
thanx for your age suggestions and all the other posters' . it's a
good enough smoke that i will stick with it for a while. i'm somehow
tired of trying non-isom cigars that are plain awful. i think i hit
the jackpot with this one
tks to all again.

JR has 8-5-8's for $88.

I just put down a Padilla 1932 Signature that was wonderful, and before that
a Patel Sungrown that was likewise.

Be wary of doing any business with someone using a hotmail account.

That was my thoughts to start with, but this has been a very good business
to deal with. Check out the post on A.S.CO. Marketplace.
