I'm Back...

Sycophants and Detractors,

After a few years hiatus, and after witnessing myriad fake Halbert
posts (utilizing my real name, no less), I am back. Believe it or
not, I quite smoking cigars for almost four years. FOUR YEARS! Ok,
so I had one every month or two, but that's pretty much the same as
not smoking cigars, unless you're an insurance adjuster.

It's good to see some regulars from those days, and also those who
appeared many years later, who now are... regulars! Also, the
newbies. Don't despair. It's actually a good group.

Oddly, not smoking cigars for several years left me with a collection
of 4-10 year old smokes sitting around in my remaining three humidors
just DYING to be smoked. I am obliging them at a rate of no fewer
than three per week. I know that's nothing like my past glory, but
it's a start...

I walked into the first cigar store I've been in for over three years
the other day and marveled at the selection. All those AF's for less
than a tank and a half of gas! Boy, did I pick the wrong time to be a
big cigar smoker (late nineties). I used to have dreams, back then,
of walk in humidors with all my favorite Punch, HdM, and AFs lining
the shelves. Now, they're right there, in my face. The only dreams I
have like that, these days, involve Lindsay Lohan and a slice of
lemon...

Anyway, it's good to be back here in USENET Headquarters, and I look
forward to slamming stupid adverts (in a more congenial fashion),
canceling irreverent posts (hah! just kidding!), and providing some
insightful, yet acidic, cigar reviews. Tell it like it is.

MIKE!

Damn! Nice to hear you again!

I missed you... <sniff>

I value truth and honesty in all things. You brought some of that to
ASC. I tried, but fell silent. Shame on ME.

I have come to admire your STYLE. It escapes some, but I see the
genius in it.

It cuts through and it clarifies.
