Taxing for your own good... enough already!

Re: Taxing for your own good... enough already!

Our 4th Chief Justice, John Marshal once stated this about taxation: "...the
power to tax is the power to destroy." He said this by way of explanation in
a case where the state of Maryland was seeking to tax the Bank of the United
States. The importance of the ruling is that from it we can see that
taxation is destructive and therefore must be restrained. There is no right
to tax on the part of the government. It is a power granted to the
government by the people for the benefit of the people. The fact that on the
federal level, tax bills must originate in the House further underlines how
intrusive and destructive taxation is. It was to be kept close to the
people, in the most egalitarian branch of the government where voters could
end a wayward spendocrat's career with no more than 24 months time, max. To
use taxation as a means of changing people's behavior or to advance a moral
cause is not in keeping with the spirit of our founding fathers nor is it
good government.

Tax fertilizer, but exempt farmers. Exempting landscapers as well would
create more jobs for 'dem immigrants and get them to better integrate
into the bureucracy of society beucause the companies would of course
need to be registered and legal to get the exemption.

Me Too!!! BTW, some idjit posted "how to quit smoking videos"......
I suspect that we've all given up on the idea of "smoking videos" -
that tape gives off nasty fumes when it burns!!

I like to keep it in the refrigerator.
Keeps the powder dry, and the action quicker.
Let me be your American Gladitor.
Find enclosed an adhesive N.R.A. sticker.

A letter t' you from where I been holed up
in this bucolic, agrarian compound.
One step ahead, just ahead
of the government bloodhound.

The gas is off, it's a national showdown.
BUT...
Sure wish that I could visit you,
my sweet betrothed.
In a couple a' days
we'll all be free,
or we'll be dead.

Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.
Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.

I'm fencing off this little piece of heaven.
Cross the line and you're electrocuted.
Polishing up my AK47.
It's a constitutional right, can't be refuted.

Now they got us on TV,
and makin' us look stupid.
Shot of me flippin' my lid,
at that mutt reporter,
a classic case of race dilution
Houston,

What is the problem?
I'm fighting for you, and a blue-eyed Jesus.
America first,
the rest get the pieces.
Na Na Na Na.

Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.
Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.

Fighting for your honour,
like would any Afrikaner.
Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.

Our numbers are strong, and it won't be long
'til I can tell you, Trisha, that we won.
You'll be ecstatic, just like that night
you told me up in the attic.
That was your wish again,
to be back in a purified Michigan

down on...! down on...!
...the farm?

Well, that's my wish again,
to be back in Michigan.

Happy Birthday, Trisha,
I'm in the Michigan Militia.
Happy Birthday, Trisha,
(Well, that's my wish again, to be back in Michigan)
I'm in the Michigan Militia.

I hope y'like the double barrel,
I think it goes with your apparel.
Happy Birthday, Trisha,
(Well, that's my wish again, to be back in Michigan)
I'm in the Michigan Militia.

I like to keep it in the refrigerator...

Plus, you need to spend ever more resources on enforcement. How many
cigarettes need to be smoked to cover the cost of even one extra Customs
agent or IRS man to ensure that The Man gets his cut? Not to mention that
once you reach the tipping point, a large minority of this group will turn
to illegal sources which reduces tax revenue and increases law enforcement
expenditure yet again.

Perhaps she has in mind some sort of pro-smoking campaign, to keep up
funding.

Ahem...alcohol has lots of calories which can contribute to obesity
which contributes to diabetes mellitus. However, alcohol contains no
sugar. It does not directly increase one's blood sugar. Of course all
calories are converted to sugar and eventually (in me) fat.

However, alcohol practically *IS* sugar. The two are so close that each
converts to the other through a very simple process.

Glucose: C6H12O6
Alcohol: CnH(2n+1)OH <-- add a few O-s, loose an H and you've got
sugar!

Therefore: Alcohol + breathing = energy! <-- ok, that part's junk
science. But it's fun to say! :)

Yes but there's no sugar in alcohol or fat or protein despite the
chemical relationships. Fortunately or unfortunately, they all make
it into the glucose metabolic stream.

In large and constant amounts it also reduces your nutritional intake by both
inhibiting your digestion and altering your eating habits.
