George Washington's pipe found?

According to AP/Yahoo, archaeologists have found Washington's boyhood
home in Virginia. Among the artifacts:
"They also discovered a well-used pipe bowl, blackened from smoking,
that was marked with a Masonic crest. Washington joined the
Fredericksburg Lodge of the Masons in 1753.

"While we can't say that this was George Washington's pipe, we can
wonder about it," Levy said.

I wish they would analyze the tobacco in the bowl. Did he smoke
Virginias or Burley?

Happy Fourth of July!

Virginias. Burley is a mutation that did not exist until
long after George's death.

Light one up in honor of our Independence day!

Cheers!
