Friday Evening Smoke: 7-4-08

Good evenerning ASP,

It's been a pretty long, but good day. Was on the road for six hours, in
a car dealership for three, and buying beer and other miscellany for
another three.

Now I'm rewarding myself with a bowl of Stonhaven (heavenly) in a
Brindisi pipe and a Trumer Pils beer. Both are superb.

If I get a wild hair, I may venture out to the slab that is my front
porch and watch the kids' fireworks.

How has your day been?

Casey

Evenin' Casey. It's Haddo's in an RYO, Carnation Instant Breakfast on
the side, in the big horkin' Mason jar. Classical on the radio. Not
the 4th I had envisioned. No big dinner, as planned, and no fireworks
for the Rastallian. So I'm starvin' here, and am watching the
fireworks over the ghetto, instead. It's just people standing in their
roads, shooting fireworks into the sky. I'm actually one of the few
people who can see the whole thing, since I have a panoramic view of
Benton Harbor, being on the 11th floor of my highrise. If things are
the same as when I lived there, there's a lot of people shooting off
their pistols, as well. I can't hear that, however. What a world, as
Jerry would say.

Hope all are well,
Ian

I haven't smoked much today. I think I had a half a bowl of Best Brown
and that's about it.

Happy 4th,

Bill

Greetings Brotherhood of the ASP. 965 in a big bent Ferndown Bark
*** . Hot diggity doggy does it taste good. Day with my sweetie pie--
talking 'bout life and love, playing charades and twenty questions.
Put an episode of Fawlty Towers on the laptop. Big ocean scallops and
fresh corn on the cob for dindin. No fireworks. Some hardy souls
coming out in the drizzly fog to light a few crackers by the sea. Who
needs fireworks? Just close your eyes and imagine that beautiful ember
burning in the center of your baccy. -- Tim

Evening Casey, Ian, Ed,

Everything's cleaned up, wifie's snoozin', and I'm readin' after
having my wifie's friend and her daughter for dinner. Just smoked a
Rocky Patel Cuban Blend maduro robusto on the porch listenin' to
fireworks; a very fine smoke, btw. I couldn't see the fireworks due
to the forest in our back yard (that's a good thing, imo) Now I'll
lite up the bowl of MB HH Vintage Syrian I started before dinner.
It's in a claw 'n egg meerschaum that is well colored.
