AD: Giving up the pipe, tobacco for sale

AD: Giving up the pipe, tobacco for sale

ASP A year ago the MD told me to give up the pipe because of my
worsening COPD. Even the ambient smoke in the room is a no-no, saith the
Sawbones. I eventually obeyed, haven't puffed at all since mid-November
2007. I have put off divesting myself of 47 years of pipes and pipe
smoking accouterments, including some 150 high-grades and a few of
lesser quality: Dunhill, Comoy, Charatan, Ferndown, Ashton, Barling,
Astley, Parker (a dozen+ of Shape 95, the Parker "LB" in various
finishes), BBB, Tinsky, S&R (Steve & Roswitha Anderson, of Columbus OH),
Viprati (including a couple my damn sumbitch dog chomped on which are
still lovely, thanks to Tinsky's buffing up, despite the visible
fang-marks), and more. A few are new-in-the-box. I will also offer
several humidors, pipe racks, reamers, and a small collection of times,
and a small collection of pipe publications, catalogs and pamphlets
accumulated since the early 1960s.

Eventually I will get everything photographed and create a website where
ASPers my peruse what I have to offer at their leisure. If an ASPer
doesn't respond in due course, I'll put them on eBay.

For now, I offer the following tobacco, purchased in April 2007:

3 unopened 8 oz. bulk packs of Penzance, $20.00 each plus UPS postage.
1 opened bulk pack of Penzance weighing 6.5 oz, $17.00 plus UPS postage.

3 unopened 8 oz. bulk packs of Margate, $20.00 each plus UPS postage.
1 opened bulk pack of Margate weighing 7 oz., $17.50 plus UPS postage.

The opened packs have been kept tightly sealed with a triple top roll
held by a binder clip and kept in an airtight screwtop container.

Plus the following unopened cellared tins:

1-100 gram tin McClelland Christmas Cheer 1998, $20.00 or best offer in
the next 7 days.
1-2 oz. tin G. L. Pease Raven's Wing (old style tin at least 6 years
old), $15.00 or best offer in the next 7 days, plus UPS postage.
1-2 oz. tin G. L. Pease Cumberland (old style tin at least 6 years old),
$15.00 or best offer in the next 7 days, plus UPS postage.

Write me direct with questions at

Thank you for your consideration.

My ISP email filter thinks some of your responding emails are SPAM. If I
haven't responded to your email, please send it again. Tomorrow I've
gotta whip the fricking ISP email filter into righteousness!

Thanks for your patience.

Hello Ned,

My sympathies for what you're having to do.

COPD is no fun. The prayers of the Olton clan go out to you.
