Monday 7/7 afternoon smoke(s)

'afternoon all. Been inside since around 11am.....86, high humidity in
Western NY. 75 inside! Have been switching between HOTW & '06 Penzance
(finally dried enuf). Reading JFK bio, MotorTrend etc. Just too hot to
do any outside work. "Seeya" for evening smokes.

Afternoon, Ed. It's Haddo's in an RYO. Diet Pepsi on the side.
Classical on the radio. Been a full morning, so it's time to go slow
for a while. Hope everyone is enjoying their day,

Ian

Re: Monday 7/7 afternoon smoke(s)

Puffing on a bowl of Mac B's Dark Twist in a Sav Herc blasted pot, sipping on
ice water, got some Townes Van Zandt on the computer sound system. Got curious
about the name and the enthusiasm shown in another thread.
While I was looking for his CD's at the library I came across a Dave van Ronk
CD. Whenever he'd come to the Blue Parrot in Boston I'd go see him. Great folk
and blues interpreter with the funkiest voice. I think he might have been Tom
Waits' inspiration.

Well, so far, Van Zandt is doing a great job on "Pancho and Lefty". I have high
hopes....

I remember the Blue Parrot--saw Alan Ginsburg there, way back when.
