Obama and nicotine.

Obama and nicotine.

Barack Obama's medical statement from his doctor shows some
extremely impressive numbers: blood pressure, cholesterol,
triglycerides, etc.

http :// cbs2chicago,com /local/barack.obama.health.2.735655.html

The only stand-out is his resting pulse: 60.

For someone who is as active and lean as he is, it should be lower.

That's what nicotine (Nicorette) does.

And that's all it does.

The hell it should. Resting pulse rate of 76 is considered quite
acceptable. His pulse is very low which means he has either heart disease.
severe potassium deficiency or really healthy arteries. Most runners would
love to have a pulse rate of 60.

Resting pulse rates of Americans range from 60 to 100. But, then,
the average weight of Americans is FAT.

If your rate is 76, you need some work.

Most runners have resting pulse rates of 50.

Tiger Woods, not a runner but fit and lean, has a resting pulse
rate in the lower 50s.

Nicotine raises the pulse rate.

But it's best at making slaves of its users.

Rubbish, I had a pulse rate of >60 when I was a long distance runner and can
pull it down to the mid 60s even now after a few weeks exercise.

In reality though, the resting pulse should be between 70 and 85.
My blood pressure has always been low. So low that when I have it
checked, I have to advise nurses not to do it twice. The first count
is right.
