Coughing in public

I have a question for you smokers. Would you intentionally cough on
someone else?

We don't. ANTIsmokers are the ones who feign coughing, as a wordless disapproval of
smoking. They are too timid to SAY anything because they fear intellectual or physical
confrontation. Their low self-esteem tells them they'd lose.

They're right about one thing. What a bunch of losers.

Right.
And you know this how? You've never even considered the concept that lungs
which have not been scarred by years of abuse might find your toxic waste
objectionable and attempt to reject it? Strikes me as a completely natural
reaction of a normal body. As is the preference by all but the biggest
assholes to avoid confrontation. You want to fight I'm sure you can find an
appropriate venue, I prefer to get on with my day, thanks.

Tell me that again when your dying in your 60s and I'm still enjoying good
health, Mr 3 pack a day. Who do you think will be the loser then?

Hey numb-one, that's cool stuff!! You know how long you're going to
live! Damn, you trolls are amazing!!! Okay, Numb-one, as long as
you're talking out of your ass, how's this prediction? The BIG N will
outlive all you type-A, uptight, hysterical, emotionally hot-wired,
angry neurotics. For every one of your angry moments, I have at east

And, oh, a troll using the word "loser" . . . gotta love it.

The biggest assholes are antismokers, because they go out of their way to hassle
strangers. For instance, by posting in this newsgroup.

Show me a case where a smoker hectored nonsmokers on Usenet. I didn't think you could.

Smokers assault non-smokers and other smokers every day ... not every
smoker is guilty of that, but far too many are. Assault with your
tobacco spew is far more offensive than some Usenet postings could ever
be.

Smoke doesn't pass through the network. If smokers are assaulting you in other venues, why
don't you respond in those venues? When you bitch about smoking here, all you are doing is
revealing the abject stupidity of antismokers. That hurts your cause rather than helping
it.

Oh, but I do. I have contacted my state and local representatives
repeatedly in order to voice my support to ban public smoking. In NJ,
that request and the requests of many other non-smokers was heard and
acted upon to our satisfaction. Likewise in Philadelphia where I work
and my parents live.

In Pennsylvania, public smoking is still permitted in all communities,
except Philadelphia. PA's legislators are working to fix that problem
now. When the situation arises, I urge my colleagues and friends who
still smoke to quit. Some of them do not quit, but some have. Because I
work in Philadelphia and live in NJ, public smoking is no longer the
major nuisance it once was, so the opportunity to complain to strangers
who smoking in my presence indoors simply doesn't exist any more.

I travel a fair amount, so I do sometimes end up in indoor situations
where smoking is still permitted, such as Las Vegas casinos, but they
too will eventually be non-smoking. I am as certain of that as I am that
the sun rises in the east. When you are surrounded by putrid nicotine
addicts, asking them all to put out their offensive cancer sticks just
isn't a viable option, its not going to happen, which is another reason
why public smoking bans need to be expanded in their scope.

The reality is, we non-smokers should not have to ask NOT to be
assaulted by your putrid toxic waste anymore than we should have to ask
you not to cough or sneeze on us. You nicotine addicts should be
considerate and not light up indoors in public. Its not rocket science.

There have been no-smoking casinos in Las Vegas. For example, the Golden Nugget was
entiely no-smoking in 2004. Invariably, they return to smoking-permitted after a few
months. This proves lack of popular support for smoking bans.

I don't light up when a nonsmoker is in my home or riding in my car. I doubt any rude
smokers read this newsgroup. It's almost certain there are no legislators here. So you and
other antis have no audience; you all are pissing into the wind.

Keeping it alive?? Like a drunk in a mission choir? How silly are you
NumbNorm. If you are keeping anything alive it's only the amusement
factor at the expense of your self-deluded sense of relevance. Silly

I don't recall the Golden Nugget ever being entirely non-smoking in its
casino in 2004 or any other year. Do you have proof of that? I tried
googling for that information, but nothing about it showed up.

I don't see how you are in a position to determine who is considerate in
this newsgroup and who is not, but thanks for your consideration in not
smoking in your car and home when non-smokers are there. I hope you show
the same consideration in public.
