"This case was crafted from a dark brown vinyl impregnated leather outer
shell"

Thanks,

Neil

Think of all those poor, baby Naugas that had to give the ultimate sacrifice
for someone to look stylish! Outragous. LOL

Who would only need to carry 12 pipes if I was running away from home!

My Ultimate Pipe Bag kicks that dunhill's ass! I guess if it's new
owner wants it for it's collectibility that's one thing but if he
wants a REAL pipe bag I'd check out Neil's selection....

Best,
D.J.

Re: DUNHILL 12-pipe leather travel case

I'm not sure, but I believe the outside is real leather, possibly Morocco.
If you look carefully at the scuff in the corner, it doesn't look like a
vinyl tear at all. Probably the vinyl referred to in the ad is a backing
that was bonded to the leather to give it some stiffness.

Re: DUNHILL 12-pipe leather travel case

I guess you're not familiar with Morocco leather. It is a very thin goat
leather used in bookbinding as well as small items such as wallets. The
reason it's used is for the beauty of the grain, not necessarily it's
durability.

Re: DUNHILL 12-pipe leather travel case

Although come to think of it it probably is pretty durable as well. Really
fine cameras such as the older Leicas and Nikons were covered with it.
