Massachusetts set to raise cigarette tax by $1.

Robert has told us there is a cutoff point at which
increases in the cigarette tax yield less revenue.

He is also on record claiming smoking bans are about to be repealed.

He claims he doesn't have the time to keep a list of ban repeals
so I'm guessing he doesn't have time to keep a list of cigarette
tax increases rollbacks either.

I don't why he says he doesn't have enough time. It wouldn't take much.

It's a considerably shorter list than the one I post here
from time to time.

I don't keep up as closely with taxes as I do smoking ordinances
but I'm aware of at least two states that did roll back cigarette
taxes. But I believe they were raised again. Canada repealed
taxes way back when but they are now back up again.
