e-bay Question

I was just looking at a Boss DR 670 The seller added this "Correction
regarding money order question below. EBay is *requiring* that the
transaction be completed through Paypal. Therefore I cannot accept any
other form of payment at this time**" I wonder why they would say he has to
use Paypal.

Funny I was just looking at DR 670's up on ebay.... After looking
through the manual on Roland's site ,it seems the rhythm machine I
want doesn't exist. I'd like to be able to program bass lines and
essentially synth anything a real bass player could do with a 6-string
bass (or at least get a close approximation) the interface to do
something like that just doesn't exist on these little devices and
looks like you can't bring the bass part in through MIDI IN.

Wonder how hard it would be for BOSS to make a rhythm machine that
supported this and came bundled with really good PC/Mac software for
sequencing the bass and drum parts visually in a step-record mode,
that would be nice. I imagine the really high end rhythm machines/
samplers do this sort of thing, but the DR 670 is getting kind of old,
it seems with technology advancements BOSS could do something like
what I'm describing in a sub $500 package. If they don't perhaps Line
6, DigiTech or ZOOM could step up to the plate and give us all that
and amp modeling/fx.

I've used Paypal for going on 5 years and haven't had any problems with
them although I haven't had any disputes either. I use the regular free
version and when I transfer funds from a bank account to Paypal it takes
about 3 days. The very instant the funds are there I get email. And as
soon as you transfer your Paypal funds to the buyer, they have it. Pretty
simple and I use Paypal for any EFT transactions over the net that accepts
it.

My point was that since PayPal is now part of the eBay family of
companies, I would not be surprised to see eBay encourage the use
of PayPal.
