got my amp back, a 55c reisitor was causing the grief. priced a couple of
celestion blues for $279 each. $100 to import for the US. Here they got for
around $420.

I think I prefer the current 12 string strat. I remember playing one
of those things a few years back and not being very impressed.

I do like the jag body, but that headstock is just butt ugly.

You talking about the AC-30? Great that you escaped so cheaply!

My AC-30 has greenbacks. They actually sound great when I play my Valve
Jr. head through them, so I've been thinking maybe I'd get a couple of
celestion blues and put them in the AC-30 and then build a separate
speaker cabinet using the greenbacks.

heh, cost me nothing, still under warranty. the shop was fuming, cost them
50 bucks. i went and met the guy who did the repairs, has a good rep and
everyone has dropped his name so I went and met him this arvo. said it took
him a while to find the fault. a phase splitter resistor. it was humming a
bit before hand as well, says that would have caused it, looking forward to
cranking it tomorrow.

thats the plan with me and the wharfedales. the celstions are coming it's a
done thang.
