Decent midrange wah?

Decent midrange wah?

What would be ok? I don't want to go top of the range and I don't want
cheap crap either. I'd favour a heavy rock sound if there is such a
thing. Any suggestions please folks?

Many thanks,

BB

Bill,

with the Pound as strong as it is against the $USD these days, I imagine
that purchase of US products is pretty fun these days...except for the
economy...have you considered Fulltone's Clyde Wah?

You can't beat a good Dunlop GCB-95

Yeah I was gonna say that soundwise I guess a crybaby is all you need
for rock wah...but for me useability counts a lot, and I've been
really happy with my Ibanez WeepingDemon. It is spring-loaded for some
resistance and activates by rocking it, which I really want a wah to
do(although it can be used with a switch too, and non-spring-loaded),
and there are very useable controls that allow to adjust the sound
from really funky trebly wah to grunge-style wide but narrow-ranged
swells. The only thing wrong with it is that it's pretty damn big!

Cheers,

Dee

Dunlop Crybabies are just fine, IMO. The 535Q is pretty nice. Check
out the Roctron Classic, too. It's a good, sturdy, basic wah for under
$50 (US).

I have a Fulltone Clyde on the way from an ebay purchase.

I played a few, and it seems that nothing sucks tone like a wah, so I
narrowed it down to those with true bypass.

Something to consider when you are narrowing down choices.
