Cakewalk Powerstudio/TonelabLE Demo

Hi there,
I've just bought a new system with Vista pre-installed so decided to buy
myself a recording interface and software to go with it....
I decided on the Cakewalk Power Studio 250 USB interface which comes with
software included in the price.
It's a very compact little box, fits nicely on my desk and is very easy to
set up and use....
I just need a couple of decent cables to go with it now..using a guitar
cable to hook it up to my Tonelab at the moment.
Anyway, did a quick test with it today and recorded a quick demo using my
Tonelab LE with stock presets...
It doesn't sound too bad if you can excuse the playing,i need to learn more
scales!! hehehe :)

Here's the link to it:

regards,
David

Very nice ;-) Is the LE the silver one? Which presets did you use
for the demo?

The more I use my ToneLab, the more I'm kicking myself for not de-
mothballing sooner. That interface is great.

Yep,it's the silver one.
The preset i used was one called UK Blues.I switched the delay on for the
lead part...
Just playing around with it at the moment with my new recording software.
I'm very happy with the Tonelab, you don't have to mess with it too much to
get a half-decent sound.
Also, getting this recording software will help me practice a bit more...do
some jamming on my own and try and put things together..

I've not played for a while,so i'm just getting back into it.Just needed a
bit of inspiration!!

Thanks for taking the time to reply,
regards,
David

David,
I like your playing; you should put together some songs and post back.

Nice job! Keep 'em coming....you'll get better and better the more you
record and mix.

Hi there,RichL.
The guitar i recorded with is an ESP LTD F-400FM....
It's a really ugly shape, and has no fret markings, just a big vine going up
the neck.
The pick ups are EMG 81's i believe...

I'm pretty sure it's a guitar intended for down tuning, because it can get
pretty brutal through my amp!!

thanks for listening,
David
