Try asking in rec.music.makers.guitar.acoustic. - One popular choice there
is the K&K Pure Western Mini. The PADI you bought is also popular.

My final choice was a Baggs M1 Active, after much trial and error, though I
also have a Maton with their excellent AP4 system and make my own soundhole
pickups.

K&K are fine pickups. Any more, if there are also
electric guitars in the mix, I just use the K&K.

It's a Western, not the Western mini.
