That part I've noticed! She's got a nice-looking sister too, if I
remember right.

Danii Minogue, who had a singing career first until kylie decided she could
'sing' as well as act.

Actually, she had at least one other hit in the US. The song is
called "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and it's a great dance song. I
used to have it on the CD of dance music that I'd play at gigs while
we were on break and it always kept the place hoppin'.

I think there was a band called Angel on Casablanca Records, so I
guess they became Angel City in the US and the Angels in Australia and
elsewhere. Then when Doc Neeson left, they had to change their name
since (I think) Neeson owned the name. So there was Doc Neeson's
Angels and then the Angels Band.

Vamp...I was just chatting with a lady here in my office who is from
Perth about "Eagle Rock". I cannot get that song outta my head!
Anyhow, she says she has a 2-CD set of the "Greatest Australian
Songs" (or something like that) and Eagle Rock is on it. She's gonna
loan it to me once she finds it. Can't wait to hear what other
nuggets I've been missing out on!

Great stuff, played to death over here tho. EVERY pub rock band has
covered it. "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John is a homage to "Eagle Rock".
He was in Aussie and heard Daddy Cool and decided to rip it off - a
little;-)

Thorpy was the god of Aussie rock;-) Matt Taylor and chain was another
one I liked, not to mention Russell Morris. There were some really hip
Aussies in the olden days;

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v=fQ8d2EB435Q

I'd love to post Matt Taylors "Remember when I was young" but there's
nada on youtube. Here's Steve Wrights "Evie, in 3 parts" covered by a
Aussie Super band called the Wrights;

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v\d3cVcTKsA

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v=AUahyS-wfLo

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v=GvrbtXM4DxA

And here's the lyrics to "I remember";

http :// www .lyricsmode,com /lyrics/m/matt taylor/i remember when i was young.html

And Billy Thorpe, who died last year. The best Aussie guitarist imo;

"Most people I know"

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v=pziFUtBmLV8

"Children of the SUn"

http :// www .youtube,com /watch?v=HqBJIc628t4

"Somewhere over the Rainbow"

Oh, and the Olden days;-)
