Bus Tracks!

Well, ol' Rev Wright is pickin' bus tires outta his ass right
about now. The question is - did Barack "gutter ball" Obama
chuck his nasty butt under the bus twenty years too late?
And what's he gonna do about that mouthy wife of his, eh?
No bus tracks for HER, to be sure. And in the wings: the
Rezko real estate deal, and Ayers, oh my, oh my...Barack's
been hanging out with some mighty shady folks - bomb-throwing
radicals, to be sure.

Stay tuned. ;-)

You're permanently stuck on spin cycle.

There's a certain soothing aspect to his cries of outrage though, it's
almost a tone poem accompanied by lyrics which resemble the chanting of
monks. Nasty, bigoted monks mind you, but still monks. No, wait a minute,
I'm wrong, those guys aren't wearing monks' robes, those are old bedsheets,
and hey, why are they setting fire to that cross? Oh dear, I don't think
they're monks at all. Still, LV's Symphony of Irony in H Minor (the H is
for Hypocrisy) was such a lovely piece, it's so good it's bound to turn up
on Soundclick with bad guitar overdubbed over it, under another name of
course. ;~)

Ahh, I see. You're one of those people who does their best to pretend that
freeway noise is the sound of the ocean surf. Your optimism is admirable!

Tomato, tomahto, potato, potahto - spin it how you'd like, you can't refute
it.

And you won't - you'll just ignore it. This is the Cult of the Chocolate
Easter Bunny's great hope, and were it not for Fox news, Hannity,
Limbaugh, Hewitt, Prager et al, it might well work. Hell, it may
*still* work, for the pathological Bush-haters are still in full froth
mode, but from where I'm sitting - on top of the Democrappic
Convention, in fact - Barack don't pass the smell test.

Refute *what*? That the good Rev. Wright has a few screws loose? I
don't see too many people trying to refute that. What's at issue is the
relevance to Obamas's ability to serve effectively as president. As for
Michelle Obama, so now that there's a real possibility of a black man
being president, she's really proud of her country. So what? Twist
that sound bite any way you want, it doesn't change a thing.

The only people who are either really upset by these things or simply
using them for political gain wouldn't have voted for Obama in the first
place.

Seems to me the ones that tried to bury the hatchet in Obama's back were
Gibson and Stephanopolous at ABC -- not Fox. What Fox has been doing is
no different from what they've been doing for the past 7 years, and the
only people paying attention to it are those who are receptive to it in
the first place.

Nor would Hillary, or any other Democrat for that matter, and probably
not Giuliani either. I'm surprised McCain passes your particular
version of the "smell test". Isn't he a closet "lib"?

Goodness.

Are we thick, or was I unclear? Yes, the Rev is a kook.
He got the heave-ho for it, too. For me, he's off the
table, but I don't think that's gonna wash with the rest
of the rightwingers. I'm asking about Barack "gutter
ball" Obama's connections with Rezko and Ayers -
especially Ayers, who *brags* about having bombed
the US Capitol building, the Pentagon, and New York
police headquarters - and laments the fact that he
didn't bomb *more* US targets. And this fuck is
a tenured professor...ick...

Yeah, how *dare* they not ask him softball questions, eh?

Especially since the Rev went bonkers on network TV and
confirmed a lot of the shit they asked Obama...

Indeed, McCain requires me to hold my nose while pulling his
lever in the voting booth...but by comparison, he ain't nearly
as stinky as the Chocolate Easter Bunny or Her Imperial
Thighness. And, truth be told, I could vote for Shrillary if
I had to, for the damage her and Billy Boy would inflict upon
the country would be minor and largely reversible compared
to the massive fucking mess a committed radical socialist
like ol' Gutter Ball would create. My favorite choice ain't
gonna run, and I can't say I blame her. She may show up
in the VP spot if they hound her long enough, and then I'd
feel one helluva lot better about pulling that McCain lever...
but I don't think it'll happen.

So Ayers and Obama serve on the same board. This will influence Obama's
policies and decisions how, exactly? As for Rezko, it's yesterday's
news, and there's *no* evidence (and I don't expect any) that any
corruption has influenced Obama.

Seems like the extremists on both sides of the political fence have
nothing better to do than to attack on the basis of guilt by
association. And before you say anything, I'm no more bothered by
McCain's association with Hagee than I am with any of Obama's.

If one of these guys could be shown to have bought a vote, or if either
of the candidates appeared to be influenced by any of these extremist
views, it would be a different story.

The Rev is intriguing and nuts at the same time. Sorta like ol' Adolf
in a way. But I still fail to see what any of this has to do with
Barack. Heaven help me if I were judged by the views of those I keep
company with.

Committed radical socialist? Come on, that's as bad as some here who
call Bush a Nazi.
