Oh - I don't agree with that. I think it's important for people with
fame to take stances on issues. They can get the message to more
people.

Imagine all those great Beatles songs pre-1967 being tainted with
Vietnam references. They'd suck now. And all those pro-war people who
bought those records and made him famous had to endure his anti-war

Yeah, right. That's why Bruce Springsteen got Kerry elected and the

Lennon had ZILCH to do with ending the war. The war ended because
things were not going well. Protests of any war never acheive anything
except demoralize our troops and aid the enemy, period.
